Company Overview

Minerva Resources plc (AIM: MVA) (“Minerva Resources” or “the Company”) is a UK based mineral company intent on delivering shareholder value by increasing and developing mineral resources in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

In July 2007 Minerva Resources was formed when Palladex plc has acquired assets in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone from Ambrian Capital and Ethiopian Resources Ltd. The assets in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone were owned by Ambrian Capital and managed largely by Ethiopian Resources Ltd. Palladex plc was admitted to AIM in February 2004 and changed its name to Minerva Resources plc in the merger process. For Palladex the acquisitions marked a change in the strategic focus of the Company, from Central Asia to Africa.

Minerva Resources will focus on the further development of the Yubdo Platinum Mine and resource delineation of a number of gold exploration projects in Ethiopia, supported by revenues from drilling services currently being conducted in Kyrgyzstan. The assets in Sierra Leone will for the most part continue to be developed by existing Joint Venture partners.
